Our Team

Sheila McLeod M.D.

Dr. McLeod attended Medical School at The Ohio State University after completing an undergraduate degree in Pharmacy. After her studies in Ohio she moved to Miami, Florida to complete a three year Pediatric residency at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital.

Upon completion, she worked as a Pediatric Hospitalist first in the North Broward Hospital District, then at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital and outpatient clinic for the next nine years.

After a move to Central Florida Dr. McLeod followed her passion to work with the underserved at two Federally Qualified Health Centers in Indian River County and Brevard County. She advanced within the organization to eventually serve as Chief Medical Officer at Brevard Health Alliance for three years. For the past eight years Dr. McLeod has happily served the Beachside Community with Health First Medical Group outpatient practice.

Dr. McLeod has two grown children, both now in college. She is incredibly proud of her boys and enjoys spending time with them and the rest of her family. She also enjoys volunteering locally, bicycle trail riding, spending time in nature and traveling.

She’s very excited to continue her practice with Pediatrics in Brevard!
