Our Team

Dr. Peña was born and raised in South Florida. Graduating cum laude in 2008 from Rollins College in Winter Park, FL, with a degree in Biology, she attended Florida State University's College of Medicine, and earned her Doctor of Medicine (MD) in 2012. While in medical school, she was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha, a national medical school honor society.

Dr. Peña moved to Houston during the summer of 2012 to begin her residency at Texas Children's Hospital/ Baylor College of Medicine. She completed her pediatric residency in 2015 and moved back to Florida where she began her career as a pediatrician at the Melbourne office of Pediatrics in Brevard. She has enjoyed caring for kids from the Space Coast ever since. Over the years, she has traveled around the world on medical missions to Burkina Faso, Uganda, Botswana, and most recently Haiti in 2017. She loves to care for children from all walks of life and her passion is helping those in impoverished and underserved areas.

In May of 2018, Dr. Peña married her husband, Dennis. They have four kids. Prior to having kids, she volunteered at the Life Teen youth group at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Viera where she enjoyed helping high school teens strengthen their faith. Now she enjoys spending her free time with her family and spending time outdoors running and biking.
