Our Team

Margaret Nemethy has been a Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner for more than 27 years. Born in South Bend, Indiana, Margaret moved with her family as a young teen to Florida.

Completing her undergraduate degree at the University of Florida, Gainesville, FL, Margaret graduated from the College of Nursing with Honors. Upon graduation, she worked as an RN at Shand’s Teaching Hospital, also in Gainesville, taking care of children suffering from cancer.

She returned to the University of Florida, after three years working full time, to obtain a Master of Science in Nursing, and presently certified as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP, BC). In 1996, she joined Pediatrics in Brevard with a special interest in early childhood development and ADHD.

Margaret has been actively involved in supporting children’s issues serving as the Florida State President for the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners (NAPNAP) for two years. Currently, she serves as President of Melbourne Medical Mission, a local nonprofit which supports medical missions.

Married for more than 33 years to her husband, Joe, Margaret has three children, and two grandchildren. She enjoys running, spending time with her family, going to the beach, traveling to new places, water skiing, snow skiing, playing her clarinet in the church praise band, participating in church groups and attending Gator football games!

She believes the best part of her job are the hugs she gets from her patients and the satisfaction of helping them grow to become independent individuals with diverse talents. She considers it a privilege and an honor to be a part of so many families’ lives. Her goal is to work together with parents on the journey to help their children grow up to be happy, healthy young adults. She believes in empowering parents with education since it is always easier to prevent a problem than treat it later!
