Our Team

Dr. Kimberly Dozier-Thornton was born in Hopkinsville, KY and raised in Miami, FL.  After receiving her Bachelor of Science from Florida International University in Miami, Dr. Dozier-Thornton attended Howard University College of Medicine in Washington, DC.

 Her favorite pastime is reading, an activity she nurtured while working at a local bookstore in high school and college.  She also enjoys cooking and did quite a bit of baking for her friends while studying during medical school.

 Although Dr. Dozier-Thornton always knew she wanted to be a doctor, it was not until her Pediatric rotation that she realized pediatrics was her calling as she also enjoyed volunteering with the children’s Ministry at her church in Silver Spring, MD.

 She returned to Florida in 2011 to complete her residency at Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children in Orlando.  During this time, she met her husband, and now has two children.  She moved to Brevard County in June of 2014 and joined Pediatrics in Brevard.  Dr. Dozier-Thornton is a board certified Pediatrician who loves to bake, read, travel, and spend time with her family.
